The Silent Film Era - A Musical Celebration
Presented by J.K. Hodge, Film Composer and Pianist
On Wednesday, Sept. 17th, 2014 the Historical Society of Islip Hamlet celebrated the 90th Anniversary of the Islip Public Library with a special program.  Mr. J.K. Hodge presented a discussion and live performance of a 1920's Buster Keaton silent film.  

Mr. Hodge, a local film composer and pianist, whose grandfather provided live music for these films, discussed the role Islip Township played during the silent film era.

Mr. Hodge wrote an original score to a silent film which he also performed.
